Consultation Times

We now have a select number of “on the day” appointments each morning Monday to Friday.

  • You may choose either a phone call or a face to face appointment.
  • You will be allocated a time to attend the surgery should you attend a face to face consultation. Please remember to wear a face covering before entering the building and use the hand sanitiser provided.
  • You will not be able to choose a doctor of your choice.

Due to limited availability, we ask that patients do not use “on the day” appointments to discuss longstanding issues that could be booked into a routine afternoon appointment so that “on the day” consultations are left for those who really need to be contacted/seen that same day.

Routine Appointments

There are also some afternoon consultations available online and these can be booked using the NHS App, myGP app or on Patient Access. Alternatively, please call reception and ask to speak to the doctor of your choice. Afternoon clinics run Monday to Friday between the hours of:

  • 2:00pm – 5:08pm

Double appointments are available if necessary but please make sure you inform the receptionist if you require a double appointment. You may choose between a telephone consultation and a face to face consultation, and you will be allocated a time to either attend the surgery or an approximate time in which your phone call will take place. You may also choose a doctor of your choice.

When the Surgery is Closed

Please telephone 111 for medical advice when we are closed. You should always telephone 999 in the case of a medical emergency.

If you need advice or medical treatment quickly and you cannot wait for an appointment to see a Doctor you can call NHS 111. When you call 111, you will speak to an adviser from the NHS 111 team. The team has trained advisers and nurses who can help you. They will ask you questions to find out what help you need.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Practice Closed for Training

Approximately once a month the whole surgery closes for the purpose of staff training. The surgery will be closed for the afternoon from 1:00 pm onwards. During this time if you need urgent medical attention please contact the NHS 111 Service. You should always telephone 999 in the case of a medical emergency.
